Evan Golden Nominated for Real Men Wear Pink Campaign Supporting the American Cancer Society
These initiatives include promoting early detection and prevention, funding groundbreaking research, and giving patients support wherever and whenever they need it. Because of the passion of supporters like you, Real Men Wear Pink is helping to save more lives from breast cancer.
Apart from skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women. In 2018, About 268,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed. About 63,960 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed in women (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer).
If you or someone you love is concerned about developing breast cancer, has been recently diagnosed, is going through treatment, or is trying to stay well after treatment, we can help you find the answers you need.
Real Men Wear Pink was born out of a desire for men to have a unique way to help in the fight against breast cancer. Real Men Wear Pink gives communities the opportunity to nominate local male leaders to spearhead fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society's breast cancer initiatives.
Evan Golden wears pink because breast cancer affects everyone - it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. That's why I'm stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have. Since I'm in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I'm helping to save more lives from breast cancer.
Every day, the American Cancer Society is saving more lives from breast cancer than ever before. They're helping people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early, when it's easier to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people need it. They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and they're working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them.

I nominated Evan Golden for this campaign because he is a very prominent figure in the community and is always giving back to Broward County. Not to mention, his gregarious personality will be essential to his success in bringing awareness to the community. It will also enable him to raise money to support the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives – and to help us save more lives than ever before.
The campaign was dreamed up a few years ago to show that Breast Cancer isn’t just a women’s issue. Thousands of men are diagnosed with the disease in the U.S. every year. And so are more than 266,100 of their daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and friends. That’s why we’re recruiting men to fight breast cancer through Real Men Wear Pink.

"We have similar visions on the type of information we want to bring to the viewership. With his philosophy of "Edutainment" combining Education and Entertainment, that lines up exactly with our platform," said Jack Namer, Executive Producer and founder of 3F Television and Channel 16, Eye on South Florida.
Eye On South Florida (EOSF), is here to set a new stage in the ever-changing network television, satellite, cable, web, and mobile applications world of broadcasting, marketing and distribution, to provide, uncontrolled news and real stories of society that connects, communicates, entertains and creates social community hope and positive change for the NOW and FUTURE generations.
The Network’s approach is unique and has an advantage in the marketplace because of the valuable airtime that is being provided by each channel pro bono to help raise awareness and funds for charitable organizations in each community, raising the bar on feel good programming that is conducive and positive to society at large, unlike other channels that flood the screens at home with content that involves violence, sex, drugs and evil.
A critical factor in the production of content is that the team understands that television, technology, new trends in marketing, social media advertising, the World Wide Web, video games and the big screens are playing the biggest role in molding our kids. EOSF feels it is their moral duty and obligation as communicators to transmit positive information and content that is focused on news and entertainment that is not only fun, but also educates and delivers what is right for the people, instead of what is wrong!
The advantage points are focused on keeping an EYE on new trends and all things good, while exposing what is not good and potentially dangerous or hazardous in each community. Creating a window of opportunity for important information and positive news and entertainment content to flow… attracting special interest groups and advertisers.

"The Double Golden Opportunity"
Stay Golden Apparel Expanding to U.S. Partners with TV Personality & Spokesmodel Evan Golden Stay Golden Apparel, Fine clothiers from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Bringing the Island Lifestyle to the World.
Stay Golden Apparel is proud to announce partnership with TV Personality Evan Golden as the new face and spokesmodel for the brand. The company plans to use his ongoing exposure in the entertainment and social scene to continue to grow on an international level.
Stay Golden Apparel was founded in February 2012 at the Gahan House Pub in beautiful Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada by three entrepreneurs from Colonel Gray High School.
Devin MacGregor, Alex Khan, and Coltin Handrahan saw the need of an Island clothing brand that wasn't being met by corporate companies. The goal from day one was to provide quality clothing at good prices to Islanders while giving back to the community and building a brand on the Island lifestyle.
When the summer of 2012 arrived, the company began a transformation from a student start up into an established company. After placing at the top of the Start up PEI Challenge from over 20 other local start ups, Stay Golden went digital with http://www.staygolden.ca and began renting its first office at 224 Queen Street in downtown Charlottetown. Throughout the summer the team began developing a dynamic set of partnerships with other local businesses and has now partnered with veteran model and entertainer Evan Golden. "Our brand's philosophy is to stay true; be yourself; never change and when, you see Evan on television, he is always original and staying true to himself. We knew he was ideal for our image and to help us expand our line in the States and the fact his last name was Golden made it a perfect match," says Handrahan.
Last year's summer line included classic t-shirts, crop and tank tops, zip-up hoodies and more, suitable for the warm climate of Prince Edward Island, Florida, California and anywhere else you want to bring the island lifestyle. This year's summer line will be ready for sale soon.
"When speaking with the three founders and hearing their passion, drive, creativity and dedication, I knew this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I really believed in them and loved the style they've created. The apparel started out geared towards the teenage demographic, but when people feel and see the quality and the message, this is a clothing line that can be worn by all ages," said Evan Golden.
Stay Golden has also built a solid following on social media sites to keep people continually engaged with the brand, a big part of which is about the P.E.I. lifestyle.
The team has been working full time to try to keep up with both retail and wholesale orders and continue to gain popularity on instagram, facebook and twitter.
